Terra Kids Catamaran DIY Activity Kit

My 8-year-old had the finished catamaran floating in the bathtub within an hour. The sail rigging is cleverly designed and held up well even after a few bumps against the side. It's a great way to introduce basic engineering concepts without it feeling like a lesson.

My eight-year-old loved piecing together the hull and sails from this kit, and it actually floated in the tub on the first try. The instructions were clear enough for her to follow with minimal help, which made for a fun afternoon project. She’s already asking when we can build the next one.

My 9-year-old got the hull together with just a little help from me, and the first time we floated it in the tub, it stayed perfectly upright. The pieces fit together snugly enough that we didn't even need glue, though I wish the sail rigging instructions were a bit clearer for younger kids.
