The columns click into place really securely, which is great since my toddler loves to test the stability. We've been able to create much taller, more interesting tracks that actually hold up during play.

My kid's marble track had gotten a bit flat, so I grabbed these to add some height and now the marbles take this long zigzag drop that he just stares at. The columns click together solidly with the pieces we already had, no wobbling. Worth it if your layout needs some vertical drama.

These tall columns turned our basic track into a proper ramp the kids can send marbles down over and over. They're sturdy enough that my four-year-old can rebuild the layout himself without it toppling.
