The interlocking notches actually hold the arches together instead of collapsing like our old plain blocks always did. My son figured out how to build a curved tunnel on his own, which kept him busy for a solid hour. Way sturdier than I expected for wooden pieces.

My daughter spent a whole rainy afternoon building a curved tunnel and an archway instead of asking for the tablet. The wooden pieces have a nice weight to them and the curves actually stay standing while she adds more on top. Best toy purchase I've made this year.

The interlocking notches actually hold, so my son's arch stayed up all afternoon instead of collapsing every two minutes like our old plain blocks. Curves and bends are where this set really shines.
